For enhanced bioremediation, True Blue Techologies represents Tersus Environmental, a leading U.S.-based bioremediation company, with growing international presence. Their products are available worldwide for in situ aerobic or anaerobic bioremediation.
Tersus Environmental offers a range of groundwater remediation technologies and products. Their technologies have been specifically designed for environmental applications with an emphasis on performance, cost-effectiveness, ease of use and environmental safety.
Advancing the Science of In Situ Groundwater Remediation
Electron Donor Solution (EDS)
EDS-ER: To address sustainability concerns of shipping water to project sites, Tersus Environmental developed a long-lasting electron donor family of water soluble oils. EDS-ER (electron donor solution – extended release) is a water-soluble oil formulated with >92% natural seed oils. EDS-ER is a simple, safe, low-cost solution for the bioremediation of halogenated straight-chain and aromatic hydrocarbons, perchlorate, explosives such as aromatic nitrates, energetic munitions residuals, nitrates, acids, radionuclides, oxidized metals, and other contaminants.
EDS-QR: A fast-acting, completely soluble amendment formulated with >98% natural seed oils engineered for enhanced reductive dechlorination of chlorinated solvents or any other anaerobically degradable substance. EDS-QR (electron donor solution – quick release)is an ideal choice for projects that are on a fast track. One injection will typically enhance biological activity for 2 to 3 months.
Inorganic Peroxygen for Enhanced Aerobic Bioremediation
TersOx is proprietary formulation of food-grade, calcium hydroxide that produces a controlled-release of molecular oxygen. TersOx stimulates natural degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX). This is not a chemical oxidation product. The high ratio of O2 in TersOx (>16% by weight) provides a long-term oxygen source for up to 12 months upon hydration. This sustained release of oxygen stimulates indigenous bacteria, accelerates bioactivity, and promotes increased contaminant removal.
